Interesting Engineering: Photos – New electric dirt bike with 42 hp engine hits 68 mph off-road power
The OZY 30x, launched by ON Powersports from Perth, Australia, is a powerful and affordable electric dirt bike tailored for off-road enthusiasts. It delivers 42.9 hp (32 kW) and a striking 707 Nm of torque, reaching 110 km/h (68 mph) via a chain-driven system—without a gearbox.
Equipped with a 4.4-kWh battery, it offers up to 3 hours of ride time on trails or 1 hour on motocross tracks, with charging times between 1.5 to 2 hours. The bike includes six riding modes, a steel chrome-molybdenum frame, and weighs 120 kg.
Two variants are available:
- Standard Edition (US$8,399) with G-ForceX components
- Factory Edition (US$10,399) featuring KYB suspension, Nissin brakes, Pirelli tyres, Excel rims, D.I.D. chain, and Renthal bars
Both models include a two-year warranty and are currently showcased in Western Australia.
